Ship registration is the procedure of documenting a ship's agreed nationality. Every merchant ship must be registered to a particular country. The country to which a ship is registered is called its “flag state.”

Age Restriction For Ships
There are no age restrictions, but vessels over 20 years old may be subject to an inspection by a surveyor and must meet the Registry’s safety standards.
